NEW MEMBERSHIP/BROKERAGE APPLICATIONS
Membership in the REALTOR® organization requires a commitment from you to abide by the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. In return, the REALTOR® organization offers you a myriad of benefits including legal resources, an online transaction management program, contract forms, product and service discounts, client referrals and much, much more.
PLEASE NOTE: To avoid delays, all documents sent to the WHAR office with incomplete signatures and unanswered line items will be returned to the submitter for completion. WHAR will not be responsible for any forms not completed.
All documents may be sent in one (1) packet.
Troubleshoots: In order to view our PDF documents and activate the digital signatures, please download our documents to your computer then open the file with a compatible PDF reader. If you do not have one, you may download the free version Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
NEW Primary Members
Qualifications:
- Licensed individuals who have recently joined a brokerage and have never joined an association is a New Member.
- Former licensed individuals who have hung their license or have been inactive with a brokerage for over 2 years are considered a New Member.
- Licensed individuals who is currently in an association but would like to transfer to West Hawaii Association of REALTOR® as Primary.
Step 1:
Find the "Effective Date" your license is active with the Brokerage.
- Using the link above, click "MyPVL DCCA Licensing"
- Enter your name or your license number and click search. Your name will be listed, click on your name.
- under "Other Business/Person Names" Choose "Employers List".
- From there you will find the "effective date" with the brokerage. Dues are based on this specific date PVL has deemed your license active with a broker.
Step 2:
Important: You MUST fill in the Member Dues Grid located on the last page of the New Primary Member Application.
Click on Current Pro-Rated Dues Chart
- Pro rated dues are based on the "Effective date" listed from MyPvl (Step One)
- If your "effective date is between the 1st thru 15th of the month, pay current month.
- If your "Effective date" is between the 16th and end of month, pay following month.
Step 3:
Download the New Member Application and email to admin@westhawaiirealtors.com
Prevent the long wait of getting your documents processed!
Be sure to do the following:
- Complete all questions wether it applies to you or not.
- Fill up the dues grid located on the last page
- Be sure that your Broker has signed your documents and confirmed the location of your office/branch office and contact info.
- Signatures MUST be valid, docusign is ok.
- Once the process is complete, you may contact the following offices.

NEW Secondary Members
Qualifications:
- Hawaii Licensed REALTOR® who do not hold primary membership with West Hawaii Association of REALTOR®.
- Hawaii Licensed Realtors who's Primary membership is with a Local Board not with West Hawaii Association of Realtors.
- Hawaii Licensed REALTOR® who's Primary membership is with a Board outside of the State of Hawaii. (Hawaii State dues is optional. In short, Hawaii Association of REALTOR® offers Standard Forms)
Please Note: Hawaii State dues are optional for Out of State Secondary members. (When a member has joined a primary association and paid local, state, and national dues, secondary membership may be held in a local association in another state (provided the applicant meets all of the qualifications for membership) without holding membership in that state association.)
For Principle Brokers and Brokers in Charge ONLY
Step 1:
Benefits: Principal Brokers who have dual membership allows agents under their brokerage and listed branch offices "Board of Choice" or "Dual Membership".
Step 2:
Provide a copy of your "Letter of Good Standing" from your Primary Association. You may click on the button below for a template letter.
- Be sure to fill-in the highlighted areas with your information.
- Once complete you can "cut" and "paste" the template to your email and send to your 'Primary Association"
Step 3:
If your office has not been initiated with West Hawaii Association of Realtors, you may fill out the "New Office Application"
All agents applying for membership with WHAR will be listed under your new office. This helps with reconciling your agents for member dues billing yearly.
For New Realtor Salesperson ONLY
Step 1:
Follow Step 1 and Step 2 from the New Primary Members Section. Use "Secondary Pro-Rated Member Dues" instead.
Step 3:
Complete the "New Secondary Member Application
Step 4:
Provide a copy of your "Letter of Good Standing" from your Primary Association.
Get to Know NAR - As a new member, you can expect:
- A live or online new member orientation from your local association
- Membership pin and materials provided by your local association
- New member emails from NAR highlighting programs and services curated specifically to help build your business
- Ongoing communications from NAR and our team standing by to assist if you have any questions

This form is for WHAR members at a Secondary Status and want to switch to Primary status.
Do not mistake this for DCCA's licensing change form. This form accompanies the DCCA Change Form and updates the WHAR office to update communications for ALL web based platforms that WHAR uses. ie: e-news, billing, NAR, events notifications, etc...
You may use this form if your contact information needs to be updated and a DCCA Change form is not required.
As a reminder (Link to By Laws) any change of contact information must be sent to the association within 10 days.
If you are a current or new member branching off on your own. Please initiate your Office with this application.
